A Special Blog Post!

Hmmm... you may wonder what's so special about this post...well, it may have something to do with the fact this is Riverside Rattery's 100th post. ;-) Yep, you read right! It's so exciting that my blog has been up and running this long...

I decided to post this picture of little Scarlett. Her belly is getting big! Even so, I think her litter will be fairly small...I guess we'll find out soon enough. ;-)

I'm very excited about this litter! I've never had hairless babies before. Hairless girls don't always make good mamas. Basically, this is a 'test breeding'. If all goes well, this litter will be the start of my hairless line...

Pinkies Are Definitely On The Way!

My little, hairless girl is getting rather chubby... there is no doubt about it: Scarlett is pregnant. ;-) It shouldn't be too long until the munchkins arrive! I'll post pictures soon...

Clean Time!

My rattery has been rather messy lately. So, I decided it was time to organize. It took me quite a few hours to get everything in order! I went through every box and cupboard...I even wiped down shelves and tables. ;-)

This was halfway through the cleaning process...what a mess!

I went to the laundromat and washed all the ratty hammocks. They were getting pretty stinky!

A clean room...

These boys are best buddies!

After completing the job, some of the ratties enjoyed free range time. I think they're pretty happy about the clean room. ;-)

An Interesting Ratty Fact...

All rats have very poor eyesight, but especially when they have pink or red eyes. If that's the case with your ratty, then you may notice his head sway from side to side at times. It's nothing to worry about- your furry friend is simply trying to focus on his surroundings!
