Three Friendly Girls!

A girl named Ashton is trying to find a home for three female ratties. She adopted them from me about three months ago. Unfortunately, she discovered she is allergic to rats. She has no choice but to give them up.
If you go on the My Rats page you can see pictures of their parents. Their dad is Atto and their mom is Patty. These gals are super friendly! She wants them to go to a loving home. I would take them back in a heart beat, but I have my hands very full at the moment. For more information, text Ashton at 740-473-3376. She is hoping all three can stay together; they have become very attached. :-)

Little Cutie Pies!

The baby ratties are at that adorable stage! They are so fun to watch. They love to wrestle with each other and munch on cheerios that look very big in their tiny 'hands'! They are really starting to open up as of lately. They run to their cage doors when they hear my voice. Their favorite time of the day is when I hold them. :-)

My mom loves Kristoff! I think the feeling is mutual. ;-)

This little Dumbo Mink is such a clown!

The little guys have been playing with the big guys!

A Change In Diet

Not long ago, my ratties' diet consisted of rat blocks, dog food and peanuts. After some research, I realized this was not the best diet for them. So, about two weeks ago, I went on a little shopping trip. This is what I bought...

After some careful consideration, I decided this was the right diet for them. Their staple food: rat blocks, shredded wheat cereal, oats, dry macaroni noodles (I give them tri-color rotini noodles as well), split peas and raisins.  They love it! It is a healthy, balanced diet. Every now and then I give them a little dog food. It is a good source of protein. My rats' were getting too much protein and not enough grain. A little protein is good for them, but not a whole lot! Oh, I almost forgot! I give them sweet cereal as a treat. I am sure you noticed the big bag of fruity puffs in the picture. ;-)

Hairless Rats

I know of a woman (Rachael) who is looking to find homes for an unexpected litter of hairless dumbo rats. They were born January 9, 2014. I am not sure how many she has left. Most of the babies are females. She said they have wonderful temperaments! I know this is definitely true. I took one of her boys and he is such a sweet little guy! :-) You can call or text her at 304-210-0333.
